I purchased the ZTE Quartz phone from Walmart for Straight Talk. I purchased this because it was a large phone, 5.5 inches. It was also on Verizon towers. I purchased the phone in December of 2014. I have been using this phone for two months. I really like the phone. I could not find a phone case for it in Walmart. I purchased one online from Amazon.
The phone is large but not obtrusive. I have seen other reviews of the phone and people said the volume was low. The speaker is on the back of the phone. I have not had a problem with the volume being low on this phone.
I have set the phone up for my personal needs. I have my calendar displayed. I have my note tab displayed. I also have my most frequently used contacts displayed on the screens. There are only five screens to use on this phone. I think that Galaxy has seven. I don't mind having fewer screens. This keeps me from having unused apps on my screens. I can go to these apps when I want to use them by hitting my app button.
Straight Talk service has also been great. I have not had a problem with calls being dropped unless I am in my classroom. All of the teachers in my school have problems with some calls being lost or not getting good service. I don't think that has anything to do with Straight Talk. I had Verizon contract and had the same issues. When I'm out and about in town I have great service and signal. My data is only 3G. That is fine for me because I live in a rural area that I only had 3G most of the time when I was supposed to have 4G. I don't mind the slower processing time for 3G. The best part of Straight Talk is the price, it is cheaper than Verizon contract. I was paying a $40 access fee just to have a smartphone. Now I pay $45 for everything. That is great for me. I hope this has helped anyone who is considering buying a Straight Talk phone. Thanks for coming to my blog. Purple bubbles of blessings.
